Leeds Arena - First Celebs named for Dancing On Ice Live Tour

The first celebrities to skate on Torvill & Dean’s Dancing On Ice Live Tour have been announced today. Ray Quinn, Hayley Tamaddon, Kyran Bracken and Joe Pasquale will be joining Jayne Torvill and Chris Dean on their skating spectacular, which comes to the first direct arena this April.

Tickets for the Saturday 26 – Sunday 27 April 2014 extravaganza are on sale now, priced from £32.50.

Jayne and Chris said: "This year will be the 30th anniversary of Bolero and our Olympic Gold medal in Sarajevo, so for us, it seems a fitting time to say goodbye to Dancing on Ice. We wanted to go out on a high! It will be the biggest and best tour we've done to date and there will be some great surprises for the audiences across the country - we hope you will come and see us.”

Using the same format as the hit ITV1 show, spectators can use their mobile phones to text vote for their favourite celebrity. Audience votes will then be added to scores from the judges to decide the overall celebrity winner. The winning couple will then take to the ice for a magical finale performance. As with previous tours, all profits from text voting will go to charity. 

Olympic gold medal winner Robin Cousins will head the panel of rink-side judges, alongside former professional skaters Karen Barber and Nicky Slater. They will be on hand to give their expert feedback and all important scores to the celebrities and their skating partners.

 Speaking ahead of the first direct arena shows, West End star and singer Ray Quinn said; "I've had some amazing highlights in my career and winning Dancing on Ice in 2009 is certainly one of the best!  I am thrilled to be able to continue my time on the ice and be part of the tour. I'm buzzing to be able to put on a great show for fantastic audiences around the country!”

Coronation Street actress Hayley Tamaddon (left) commented; “Dancing on Ice is a huge part of my life and to be on the final tour is a real honour. Having performed on the tour before, I know just how great the arena shows are and the fantastic support you get from the audiences across the UK - see you on the road!”

Former England Rugby captain Kyran Bracken added; "I've had the pleasure to appear on the Dancing on Ice tour several times over the years, both as a contestant and a judge, so I'm delighted to be back.  We've got some great routines lined up for the arena audiences and I can't wait to perform for them again."

Comedian Joe Pasquale agreed; “Wow, I'm getting ready to get my skates on again!  Dancing on Ice is a great show and I'm really looking forward to joining Torvill & Dean and the other celebs on the UK tour.”
