Argos Card Services - A complete set of bell ends

Update: 19/2 Finally a very nice lady from Argos rang and sorted everything out including the date of birth debacle. Why it had to come to this I don't know but I do appreciate the efforts this lady went to so thank you.

I have an argos card for my sins.

I got it to take advantage of buy now pay later when I needed a new laptop in an emergency.

It has now come time to pay. I rang them up to arrange this, they asked me for my date of birth, so I gave them it. They told me that was wrong, apparently I don't know my date of birth, well, why would I, I have only had it all my life. I did check with my parents and we came to the conclusion that Argos are wrong. I do know my date of birth.

So, they wont talk to me on the phone. Well they will until they ask for my date of birth.
I cant pay online as that too asks for my birthdate, I have tried but I cant guess which one they are using.

I have asked for direct debit info but presumably because I cant get past the birthdate thing I wont get anywhere.

I have tried the automated phone lines to pay but that crashes at the voice activation bit most times, when it does we have that question again, hmm let me guess again when you think my birthday is.

I can go into branch and pay over the counter but have you seen the queues in banks at lunchtime?I really just do not have the time, literally.

But this does beg the question, if they think I wasn't born on the day I was born, maybe I aren't the person they want? Maybe I didn't have a card and owe them money? Maybe this harrasment. Or maybe they are just bell ends.

As I have said to them, go back to wherever you got my info from, and check it because someone in your organisation has transcribed it wrong. It is your responsibility. I have never misquoted or been unsure when I was born, well, since I was about 3 anyway.

Same as mine .I tried to register my argos card online to track my spending but would not let me becoz it says the date I give is wrong... how can I be wrong it's my bday and also I've got other cards but they are all right.. I rang customer service they want me to send a proof of my date of birth so they can sort it out.. so hate this trouble.
